General inference-A deep depression east of Iceland is moving slowly northeast and a small wave on the associated cold front over the Irish sea is moving northeast. There will be occasional rain and low cloud in the West and Northwest. weather will be fair in the East and Southeast. It will be mainly mild.

At 0600 on the 16th-The warmest places are Hawarden and Hartland Point on 53°F (11.7°C) whilst the coldest are Acklington and Rattray on 41°F (5.0°C). Overnight the lowest miniumum was 37°F (2.8°C) at Dalwhinnie and Lerwick with the highest being 51°F (10.6°C) at Predannack. On the previous day the highest daytime maximum was 56°F (13.3°C) at Prestwick with the lowest maximum being 45°F (7.2°C) at Hatston and Dalwhinnie.
